SuperClean Substrates Laser are manufactured in state-of-the-art class 100 cleanrooms, using the most advanced cleaning procedures in the world. The glass substrates are cut to precision dimensions (25 mm x 76 mm x 0.94 mm) and polished to atomic flatness with a surface variability of about 25 angstroms. The thickness of 0.940 mm is slightly undersized to allow for optional bar coding, while maintaining the 1 mm thickness required for automation hardware. SuperClean Substrates Laser contain reactive silicon dioxide bonds, allowing users to experiment with their own coupling chemistries. SuperClean substrates also provide a superior glass substrate for users wishing to attach surface coatings such as hydrogel, polyacrylamide, nitrocellulose and novel coatings. The “zero background” intrinsic fluorescence enables the greatest detectivity (sensitivity) of any substrate available and the surface is the most “user friendly” on the market. SuperClean Substrates are compatible with all commercial microarray printing and detection systems, and are offered at a price that would be hard to duplicate at many times the cost. Our proprietary laser markings include laser bar codes, customer logos, custom fiducials, all at 1 micron precision. The customer should specify the custom laser markings required prior to placing an order for SMCL.
